Masai Mara Migration Safari

Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to the Sarova Panafric hotel for an overnight stay.Set within landscaped gardens in central Nairobi, the Sarova Panafric offers wellness facilities, an outdoor pool and a restaurant with a garden terrace.

Drive west into the homelands of the Masai, passing the extinct volcanos of Mount Longonot and Suswaen route. Located on Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania, the Masai Mara National Reserve is home to the nation’s richest concentration of wildlife.

Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara Sarova Game Camp, your base for the next 4 nights. Set in the heart of the Mara, this luxury camp offers spacious tented accommodation featuring en suite bathrooms and private decks with breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. A full day of game drives in the Mara. Join morning and afternoon safaris through the vast plains of the reserve, returning to the camp for lunch and some time to relax. Seek out the Big Five – rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards and Cape buffalo – and other species such as hyenas, cheetahs and the distinctive Masai giraffes.

Depart the camp with a picnic lunch for full days on safari. Depending on where the migration is, your driver will take you to a river to see herds of wildebeest and zebra make their perilous crossing - often pursued by crocodiles, lions and other predators. If there’s no crossing taking place, you can take a game drive and return to the river later.

Head northeast to Lake Nakuru National Park and check in to the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for 2 nights. Set on a hilltop overlooking the lake, the lodge features a swimming pool and a gorgeous terrace with sunset views.
 
After lunch, take an afternoon game drive. Famous for its flocks of flamingos and pelicans, Lake Nakuru is also home to more than thirty rhinos, a healthy leopard population, lions and a host of other wildlife.

Seek out big game and witness one of the world’s greatest birdlife spectacles on an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for more wildlife spotting. After lunch, relax by the pool before taking one final game drive.
