Petra and Dubai

Upon arrival in Amman, meet our representative at the Queen Alia International Airport. Be transferred to a hotel where you’ll stay overnight. 

After breakfast, drive through the 2000 year old Kings Highway mentioned in the Old Testament, running through Jordan’s stunning countryside and connecting important historic towns. Make a stop at ancient town of Madaba known for its collection of Byzantine-era mosaics, including the 6^th-century Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land preserved at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Proceed to Mount Nebo next, the mountain where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. Continue driving on the King’s Highway to arrive at the historic town of Kerak, popular for a large Crusader Castle, believed to be the largest in the whole of Levant. Proceed toward Petra for the overnight stay. 

Leave your hotel after breakfast for discovering the ‘Rose City’ of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Popular for its dramatic tombs and temple facades carved into the soft sandstone some 2,000 years ago by the Nabateans (nomadic Arabs) as well as for its water conduit system, Petra is Jordan’s most popular tourist attraction. Move past ‘Siq’, the dramatic narrow gorge measuring 1210 meters, to enter the Nabatean city of Petra. Be marveled at the beauty of ‘Al Khazneh’, an elaborate temple and one of the greatest monuments in Petra that you will see first upon entering. Spend some time admiring the beauty of this architectural marvel, and explore the other stunning temples, tombs, monasteries and palaces with the help of your professional guide. After breakfast, drive for 10 minutes to reach Little Petra, a narrow gorge also called Siq al-Barid, meaning ‘the cold canyon’. The name refers to the circumstance that the high walls prevent sunlight from entering the canyon and warming it. Move along the marked trails to explore the Neolithic ruins of ‘Al Beidha’ dating back 9000 years. With the help of your guide, navigate through ancient architectural ruins as well as buildings carved into the sandstone that were used as used as residences, storages and tombs in earlier times and were equipped  with water channels and cisterns. In one of the buildings you can even find the remains of painted frescoes with birds, grapes and flowers, dating back to the 1st century AD. Continue to Wadi Rum, a protected desert wilderness in Jordan for a 4x4 jeep ride. Popular for its ancient valleys, towering sandstone mountains as well as nomadic Bedouin tribes who still live here in camps scattered throughout the desert area, Wadi Rum is splendid in its beauty that rightly earns it the title of ‘The Valley of the Moon’. The area is of particular attraction for climbers and hikers who enjoy climbing the granite and sandstone cliffs of Wadi Rum. David Lean’s film ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ also features the stunning beauty of Wadi Rum in parts. Return to Amman for overnight. 

After breakfast, be transferred to the Queen Alia International Airport for onward flight to Dubai. Our representative will meet and greet the guests at Dubai International Airport after immigration and customs are cleared. Upon arrival at the Dubai International Airport, you will be transferred to your local hotel for the overnight stay.  

Following breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel and initiated on your half-day city tour with a guide. The tour will cover all major landmarks in Old and New Dubai, including some of the best known skyscrapers, mosques, museums and souqs. After your tour ends, spend the afternoon at leisure. Later in the evening, you will enjoy a dhow cruise on the Dubai Creek. The cruise features spectacular views of lit up creek-side hotels, great music and dance performances as well as sumptuous dinner.
Note: The Dubai City Tour is available on all days of the week, except Friday.   

After breakfast, spend the rest of your morning at leisure. In the afternoon, it’s time for you to leave for your thrilling deluxe desert safari. Indulge in dune bashing in the vast expanses of the Arabian Desert and take some stunning shots of the sunset over the desert. Dinner will be served under the stars as you enjoy spectacular traditional performances. 

After breakfast, it’s time to head to Dubai International Airport for your onward journey. End of our services.
